Lasik recommendations in NOVA? I'm looking for recommendations for lasik in the area -preferably Fairfax/Loudoun. I'm most interested in getting the best value - not...

For those who have had it done in the area, approximately how much did you pay? I'm in the area, and also interested.

Dr. Boutros with the Eye Center (you may have heard their commercials). They were amazing start to finish, and my eyes are holding stead at 20/15 three years later. Easy procedure and so worth it. http://www.theeyecenter.com/meet_surgeons.htm

Little out of your zone, but I had a very positive experience with TLC center in Tysons. Plus its nationwide, so if I move, I can still take advantage of their 'fix it for free' if anything changed (not the standard reading glasses, like pregnancy eye changing). I had it done about 4 months ago and would do it again tomorrow.

My Lasik was done by Dr. Baldinger in Fairfax, about 15 years ago. Everything went great, and I'm still 20/20 with no side effects. (I'm over 40 so I'll probably need reading glasses soon though. Lasik fixes the lenses forever, but can't keep your focusing system from getting old.)

I've heard a lot of good things about my current eye doctor, [Dr. Jacqueline Griffiths](http://www.newviewlasereye.com/) at NewView in Reston.

It looks like we have a lot of great doctors in the area. I'll make an appointment with some of these doctors this week. Thanks!

LasikPlus in Tysons Dr. Wills is good. Dr. Dastrange and the rest of the staff are excellent. http://www.lasikplus.com/location/tysons-corner-lasik-center-2/

Also, what's the average cost of these procedures?
Well...you'll like this since you're a 'Cane. Dr. William Culbertson at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute did my eyes. I had a prescription of - 9.5 plus astigmatism. He gave me better than 20/20 vision, and at the time he was/is the #2 eye surgeon in the USA. Here's his info: http://bascompalmer.org/doctors/profile/1005

Oh, and, not to be pushy, but I found Dr. Culbertson via my uncle, Gary Mackman, who is the #1 opthalmologist in Phoenix, AZ. He said Culbertson is the one the other doctors learn from. So yeah, you could go to Millennium since they spend the most on advertising, or you could go to the guy the other doctors trust! Here's my uncle to prove I'm not BSing. http://www.phoenixophthalmologists.net/ourdoctors.html
Has anyone had LASIK Eye Surgery in South Florida? Any recommendations? I'm looking at Millennium. Any thoughts?

I used Rand Eye Institute Robin. They're expensive but very professional, doctors everywhere. I needed help after hours, called the phone no., an M.D. called me back with in minutes and solved my problem instantly. No complaints, very satisfied and no regrets. 1 · Oct 1

I worked for Lasik Vision Institute for 2 years. I may be a little biased but I think that they are the best by far. I've seen hundreds of successful surgeries done there. Board certified ophthalmologists. My mom was an optical tech there too. When I was there, the prices we're extremely realistic and inexpensive (depending on the kind of sx needed) From $299 per eye to $899 per eye. Now don't hold me to that because it was a long time ago. But they did offer free consultations so you knew what you were getting into. Plus they offer(ed?) Care Credit which I'm know you're very familiar with. So you'd be able to finance it and have up to a year interest free. One of my trusted surgeons was Dr. Michael Insler. Check it out! Hope this helped http://www.lasikvisioninstitute.com/lasik-eye-surgery/west-palm-beach-surgeon-center/
