I'm no longer in the area. We are packing the moving truck today to head down to Indy. I recommend Camille as well. Michelle at Parkview Noble if you are in that area is also good. There are a few IBCLCs at Dupont who are great and have recently learned more about ties by going to the conference this summer. There are also a couple at Lutheran. Feel free to join the Indiana FB group as well for support and recommendations. https://m.facebook.com/groups/indianatongueandliptiesupport/

There is a breast feeding support group on Tuesdays at Lutheran Hospital. It is at one in the education room. Both Michelle and Holly are great. Different personalities but both will sit and work with you. They offer snacks and you can nurse your baby there. They will sit and process with you. I highly recommend it.

Recommendations for a lactation consultant? Preferably one who will come to your home?
Hallie G. replied:
Sadly, our community is in need of more specialized lactation support, especially providers who can travel to homes. My best start would be talking with Camille Grabil from La Leche League. I know she prefers to triage things over the phone, but depending on your needs she is also willing to travel to you.
Alecia M. replied:
I agree with Hallie. Camille is your best bet for in home work. I have personally been working with the lactation team at Dupont for the last 2 weeks with my new babe and am quite impressed. I typically recommend Michelle DeArmond at Lutheran for "advanced" cases, but I'd be surprised by anyone not able to find excellent support and education with the Dupont team as well. (Veronica is who I've met with most, but Tina also helped us in the NICU.)
I'm trying to get in touch with a lactation consultant at Dekalb which is where I delivered 3 weeks ago but I'm not having any luck. Does anyone have a recommendations...
