I live 60 miles south of Kansas City, MO and would like to make them for our Childrens Mercy Hospital in KC. Would this be possible? I don't have any dresses but will start getting the word out One would make a few really pretty dresses. Is there a pattern that we would use?
Annie G. replied:
Becca Keithley, nothing really specific, but the prettier, more lace and beads, the better! I can't wait to get to work on some. I just found the site a few days ago after a friend brought it up, and now, after the two projects I just finished this weekend, I'm ready to sew! Just need dresses! I am a medical courier, I see this all too often and think, "What can I do for these poor parents who have lost their little one?" Now I know! I am going to check locally and see if there's anything like this in my area, if not, there should be!

Anybody know a good seamstress? I'm looking to make my wedding dress a sweetheart top & have some lace added. Finally getting my wedding stuff hammered out! :)
Sarah W. replied:
Call (214) 871-9610 and ask for Ruth! Although she's in Uptown in Dallas so it's a little bit of a drive. Also, there's Unique Tailor in Dallas that has been voted #1 in D Magazine for a while now. I get most of my alterations there!
Is there a seamstress or someone looking for fabric? I have a never-been-worn wedding dress (tulle, beaded bodice) and 3 bridesmaids dresses-black, red, lilac-for sale.
Angel Gowns isn't accepting wedding gown donations right now. They haven't for a while; they received more dresses than they could handle. I tried to donate mine months ago. http://www.nicuhelpinghands.org/donate/

There are two SuitSupply locations in DFW. One in Dallas and one in Plano. I don't think they have true bespoke. But I have heard really good things about their made-to-measure products.

You might try Indochino or one of the other online made-to-measure shops. People I know who've bought Indochino suits generally liked them.
