just want to scream off the roof top on how awesome God is, today he heard my prayers and saved my doggy Tinker Bell's life,Tinker bell was diagnosed with pyometra which is where she has to have her uterus removed, The vet at Monroe Family Pet Hospital said it would be around 1000 for the surgery she would need, I just started crying because I didn't have the money, This vet went out of his way to contact an organization called Josephs Legacythat has agreed to help with the bill, both of these places are awesome, if you could donate to either of them please do!!! anything helps
Are there any recommendations for veterinarian that doesn't have a ONE MONTH wait to see? I've been working on a stray cat family in the backyard and have caught one of...

Try airway animal clinic. They did walk ins before Corona, not sure how they handle that anymore but I would definitely try to give them a call.
Houndie replied:
No idea on the wait time, but Animal MD in kettering is fantastic. Depending on what you're willing to pay, you could also try one of the animal hospitals in the area...you'll probably pay more as its an "emergency" service, but you can just walk in and get in line.

I go to bigger road veterinary clinic. I’ve never had to wait more than a few days for an appt if I need one. I’m not sure they’re letting you come in just yet with your pet though.

Twin Maples clinic in west Carrollton is where I take my cats and rats. They’re really good about getting new and current clients scheduled.
MattFush replied:
Docton Animal Clinic in Xenia -- they're awesome, and their COVID changes made service faster when you go!
Sexy_Senior replied:
I second Airway. Got my cat in same day yesterday. Their phone lines are always busy so you might need to message them on FB or email them.

I know it's a drive but I promise it will be worth it. Countryside animal hospital in Lebanon is by FAR the most reasonably priced vet in the area, and the waits are rarely more then a day or two.
RjLantern replied:
If all other suggestions fail, Noah's ark animal clinic in West Chester is definitely taking anyone/everyone. It's a bit of a drive but they can generally get you in same day. You register on the waiting list online and it will give you an estimate of how long the wait is. When it shows you as roughly #8 you'd want to head there. You'll likely still wait in the car in the lot for a while, but at least you'll get in.

I used a place off of spring valley in centerville. Came recommended from a family friend and they got me in next day

Not sure where you’re located but I love Great Miami Veterinarian in Miamisburg!

The vet in Farmersville is amazing. https://www.farmersvillevetclinic.com/

North Main Animal Clinic is great. They had a week wait or so a few weeks ago when I took my dog in for vaccines. Great prices and super friendly.
VioletRing77 replied:
Check out Sicsa. They have a trap, neuter, return program for strays. They might even take the kittens for adoption. They'll fix mama cat and give her a rabies shot, but they won't accept adult strays for adoption.
Yuiopy78 replied:
Cloud Park Animal Clinic in Huber usually has openings. I'm able to get my dog in same day even most of the time, and the staff is great.
fun_gal replied:
Docton Animal Clinic in Xenia has regular walk in/urgent care hours weekdays 10 a-12 p and 3-5 p. Call ahead to see if you need to wait in your car to be checked in :)
Yitram replied:
Probably because vets were basically shut down for a month and a half.

New Carlisle Animal hospital. I went there for 5 years or so. It was never hard to get an appointment with them even with new pets.

I usually go to Pony Express in Xenia! They are wonderful. I’m not sure if they’ll have a wait right now tho!
OhioIsForCats replied:
There is a cat specific vet in Centerville called The Scratching Post. They're incredible there and I have never had issues getting an appointment.
CimbyNotpit replied:
Docton Animal clinic in Xenia possibly.
Elmosfriend replied:
Pets in stitches will give a small discount for ferals. The scratching post in centerville is all cats and we got in quickly last month. Twin Maples in West Carrollton has weekend hours. Anything for free or low cost has the wait.
