Anthony B. replied:
I've had chronic back pain for five years due to spinal stenosis and bulging disk so I understand. I have tried everything. I would recommend getting into a pain clinic and trying a couple rounds of epidural steroid injections. They didn't help me but everyone is different. My last options I have yet to try is getting a spinal cord stimulator implant put in my back or an implanted pain pump. I'm still trying to get the insurance to approve the stimulator. If you decide to go that route, I recommend Dr. John Moossy. He's a neurosurgeon and is located in Presby Hospital. He is one of the best. I wish you the best of lucky because I know being in pain 24/7 really sucks.

Please check out a group that may give you some pointers for pain relief. Of course, in order to use the product, you would have to have approval from your Dr. Check out Ashley Black Guru on Facebook. You can join her women's group to see what it's about and if it's something that would be helpful to you. I have seen a lot of testimonies to the positive side of her product called the Fascia blaster. This is just a small suggestion meant to be helpful. I hope you find the comfort and relief you are looking for. (I am not personally selling anything, just sharing about what I have seen).

I had a bulging disk displacing my spinal corn. Dr Kantor through UPMC Presby was amazing! He was very patient, and listened to me. I did not feel rushed at all. I was terrified, and he made me feel much better. He answered all of my questions honestly, and did not sugar coat anything. I'm 8 weeks out of surgery, and feel great. His reviews are really good, and the main complaint was that you sometimes end up waiting a bit for him to come into the room at your appointment with him. That is because he doesn't rush, and really listens to your concerns. I HIGHLY recommend him.
Jennifer C. replied:
Anthony Consales!!! He is in white oak. Best person out there!!!
Karen K. replied:
Dr. Bejanni for sure! He has an office on Pellis Rd. My husband had been to Neurosurgeons in northeast PA...in Philadelphia...in Baltimore and here in the Pittsburgh area. Not one doctor wanted to deal with his complicated back issues including Dr. Rutigliano...said he couldn't be fixed. My Chiropractor recommended Dr. Bejanni. He was the only doctor willing to help my husband. After 38 yrs. of horrible back pain he is doing wonderful!
Karen K. replied:
By the way...Dr. Bejanni is the highest paid Neurosurgeon at UPMC. His salary is one step lower than that of UPMC's CEO. I suppose they don't want to lose him.
Chrissie M. replied:
I just seen Dr Rutigilano and he told me there is nothing he could do for me. I basically have what you have with more complications. I wouldn't suggest seeing him.

Blaine R. replied:
Kevin, I think you're right on about that. Brian, I had major sciatica due to a bulging disc in my lower back and I did spinal decompression therapy at Dr Digles in Frederick. This is considered experimental therapy so insurance probably won't cover it but it worked for me. Almost all my pain was relieved after about a month and a half of 30 min sessions 3 times per week
Andrew Z. replied:
If it's upper back/neck, which I had, try cervical traction. You can get them on Amazon.com. if it's lower back I would try an inversion table. My pain went away after 6 weeks. Good luck, back pain is the worst....especially for a drummer!

Cara H. replied:
Your primary should also be able to take care of all your gyno needs. Try Frederick Primary Care Associates. No promises, but they take many insurances. In not sure MPC covers chiropractors, and optometry and dental should be separate coverage (dental definitely, optometry may be covered under that). Your primary should be able to refer you to a GI physician.
