Broke my ankle this summer and was sent to Dr. Reddy at Shady Grove. The local doctor refered in the FMH ER told my case was complicated and he didn't feel comfortable operating and I should go to Reddy. Had a great experience. Been doing PT at FMH Aspen Ridge which was been good as well.

I think Dr. David Kowalk is the most runner friendly orthopedist I've met in Frederick. He's an avid runner himself and an all round good guy. http://www.monocacyhealthpartners.org/ortho

I just had to use Orthopedic Specialist of Frederick on TJ Dr. Awesome office staff and the doc that saw me went out of his way to explain everything at my level, and he wasn’t leaving till I said so. Probably one of the best Ortho experiences I’ve ever had.

I recommend Dr. Jani at Frederick Orthopaedic too.
The Orthopedic Center of Maryland, in Germantown and Rockville, Dr Ken Fine specifically. He's a leg/knee specialist, very conservative in approach, with a sports orthopedic focus. I'd recommend a different practice for PT, though.

I used Dr. Peterson at Shady Grove Orthopedics for a meniscus tear earlier this year. He was terrific. My daughter has also seen a couple of other doctors in the practice for various issues, and I've been happy with all of them. They have a Germantown office in addition to their office off Shady Grove Rd. It was definitely worth the drive.
