Shoba S. replied:
Uma Udupi it's always better to look for deals and book. French pass is needed only if you wish to explore southern France.. Cannes etc. Else the metro is good enough. If you plan well, you can buy them ahead and they ship it to you at your US address. Also July 14'th is Bastille Day in France and the fireworks over the Eiffel Tower is spectacular. One thing to note is most hotels don't have even a microwave available to access. If you are a vegetarian I suggest book hotels with breakfast. Have a heavy breakfast and plan for lunch outside. Dinner can be baguettes and cheese! Fruits etc. Shop at Monoprix for excellent fruits, jams, chocolate milk etc. Paris is frightfully expensive. Also look at Groupons with location Paris for deals. You can pm me if you need more info!
Amritha S. replied:
How about London, Paris, switzerland? Try www.startours.co.uk I havent tried them but know people who have booked through them and have found them good especially for vegetarian food

Shubha Ravikoti: from India my family members have used thomas cook 2 yrs bk for a 14 day euro trip covering 8 countries and it was arnd INR 1.50 to1.70 lakhs per head including flight, hotels, visa, all meals, entry tickets etc

Shubha Ravikoti to be honest tour people really rush with things but I know some people who went through Thomas Cook or even Trafalgar. You fly to London and join the tour.

Smita L. replied:
Uma Udupi that will be too much travel in 8 days as there is loads to see in each of the places you mentioned
Sudha J. replied:
Uma Udupi as Shoba Srinivasan said yes 8 days two countries will be good. Zurich itself needs lot to do. But my suggestion would be what do you want to see, because you have lot of museum, natural beauty (scenery), Castle, or do you want to do something for kids. Each country is unique. So what do you really want to see and some backup plan.
