Can anyone recommend a good chiropractor in Gainesville? I know this may not be the best group to ask for a referral but I'm new to this area and could use a good...

I have personally used Alachua Chiropractic Associates and loved Dr. Marcus Richardson there, but changed due to location. I now use McTureous Chiropractic, who has 2 locations in Gainesville. He is great! Going today!

I second the recommendations for McTureous, for a basic adjustment. Also, Matt Richeson is great and he can give you stretches and exercises to do to stay healthy, but he is on the southeast side of town and might not be easy for you to get to. I did NOT have good experiences with Chance. I saw them for months with no improvement and LOTS of expensive charges to my insurance.

Being new to Gainesville one thing I've learned is that anything around Newberry road where the mall is or Tower Rd is tough getting to/through. I called Dr McTureous office, which has two offices but he does not personally practice out of the one on 4 3 rd (I'm off of 13 th & 53 rd) So I'm hoping to find one closer to where I'm located. I don't want to drive 30 minutes through heavy traffic and school zones to get to a chiropractor. Help anyone?

Gloria Ponziano ... the best I have been to is Mark Chance of Chance chiropractic. They are off 13 th street next to Office Depot. Their family has been in chiropractics for 4 generations... and they don't use the old school "pretzel" bend you techniqu es. I have a double curvature of the spine as well as injury from falling from a horse and being injured by a student... he is the only one who can give me relief. And they dont cost an arm and a leg. HOWEVER... best advice is to check them all out yourself and find one who you feel comfortable with.

I go to Darwin Chiropractics. Its on the corner of 43 rd and 39 th. The whole staff is so friendly and Dr. Darwin has always been very accommodating! Love that place! Always feel so much better After smile emoticon
Gloria P. replied:
Thanks to EVERYONE! I have an appt with Dr McTureous on Wednesday and then I intend to try 2 others mentioned here to see which one works best with me. I work at 13 th & 53 rd so I need some place close to work. But please know, that I am deeply grateful to this group for allowing me to post my question and get such great advice and recommendations!
