I also 'second' everyone that mentioned an out of hospital birth with a licensed midwife! Karin Brooks Pugh is awesome. And there's also Midwives Coop and Birth and Wellness Center of Gainesville! Ocala Birth Center is also great!

The Gainesville Birth Center is tier2 for Gatorcare as well. They accept it but I think it's 80/20 copay

Gator Care doesn't have midwive's in the plan. Only UF Health Women's Center is covered for OB services. They will accept pregnancy Medicaid in addition to your Gator Care insurance.

If you want to stay in tier 1 I do not believe there are any. You can TRY Dr. Buchanan's office since he has a Midwife and see if he takes it as tier 1. His office is called Loving Care.

Gainesville OBGYN. In women's center next to NFRMC. Tier 2 so all together it is about $2000(that's prenatal care and L&D). I followed Dr Stewart over from UF and had a much better birthing experience this time around. There are 2 or 3 midwives in his group but I

Karin Brooks Pugh is in Gainesville and attends homebirths. She also has a birth center in Ocala - Loving Arms Birth & Wellness Center. She's wonderful:)
