ISO recommendation on the best Pediatric ENT surgeon for ear tubes on 10.5 month year old
Erin M. replied:
Dr Kerr at Accent did tubes on my older son at 9 months old, and we just saw him again today for my 7 month old because we have such confidence in him. I wouldn't say he's the "warm and fuzzy" type, but that really doesn't matter to me. I am a pretty straightforward, science-minded person (I work in healthcare), so I tend to prefer doctors who present as very confident, knowledgeable, and straightforward in that way. If I can get warm and fuzzy too, then that is a plus but not a deal breaker. My children have both been very comfortable with him. I think he has grandchildren so he does have a bit of a soft spot for babies:-). He comes across as extremely competent, and that gives me a lot of peace of mind.

We used Dr. Melker at Gainesville ENT & Allergy Associates. He has a great bedside manner and my lo warmed up to him very quickly during the first visit. She was 16 mths old. He did great preparing us for what exactly was going to happen and on the day of surgery he was the person I handed her to and he took her back into surgery not a nurse or other person that she wasn't familiar with. She went right to him and didn't cry or anything as he walked her back. That was probably the best part for me, having your lo go into surgery isn't easy but having such a caring Dr that cares about the stress level of even the youngest patients was so great and made the experience so much better.
Any recommendations on doctors for tubes(ENT) through Shands? My stepson will be 3 next month and has an upcoming appointment to the ENT Specialists. Just trying to...

Dr. Silva, he did a tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy on my son. Everything went well. And no problems since the surgery.
Does anyone have opinions on Dr. Hall? He's an ENT at Accent. We were just referred to him from our pediatrician. My daughter is on her first of three shots for ear...
Heather V. replied:
I haven't had experience with Dr. Hall specifically, but have had nothing but positive experiences with Accent! We have been through 4 sets of tubes, adenoids removal, and a tubal removal over the last 7 years. Our last experience was with Dr. Kerr, who was awesome and he specializes in pediatric patients. I would feel comfortable with anyone at Accent based on my experiences with the entire practice, from their Drs to their scheduling staff.

I see him. He's ok. Ellie goee to Dr. Phillips at accent and we really like him. When she had mrsa in her ear he personally called me at home after hours to discuss a treatment plan.
