For, chiro, I would highly recommend Frank Etlinger at Family Chiropractic on South Water in Gallatin. I first started going to him about 2.5 years ago at the recommendation of a friend, and I feel lucky I found him. After a few visits, I didn't even need to make an appointment anymore. He stays really busy, but always finds a way to fit me in -- I just call and ask his daughter, who runs the front desk, if they are busy -- a few times, she asked me to give them 30 minutes, but mostly she's says to come on and they'll fit me in. While sitting getting electro-therapy, I've seen people walk in who are in tears, and they leave feeling much better. In addition, he's also good if you need some kind of payment plan or working with insurance (I just go all I want and pay the bill at the end of the month). He's been in practice for over 30 years and won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the TN Chiropractor's Association last year. He's so good he sometimes even finds adjustments I need that I didn't even know I needed, and afterwards, I have to tell him, "Wow, I feel so much better already. I didn't even know I needed that one."
For a family doc...when others have on here have asked this question before Susan Anderson at Family Health Care is often mentioned. I haven't needed one often, but I've been to her a few times; I found her to be great even though she had to give me some "tough love" on occasion because I'm terrified of needles. She listens, is empathetic, and like Dr. Etlinger, will work with you on payments. She's in the shopping center with Kroger and the I-Hop. If you don't have insurance, go to The Salvus Center near the hospital -- those people absolutely rock. Fees are income-based, and the lady that referred me to Dr. Etlinger credits The Salvus Center with saving her husband's life.
Looking for a good dermatologist. I was attacked by a cat in the face and the scars are not healing to my liking. Any recommendations on someone in this area with this...

The scratches need to be allowed to heal first. Get some Plantain Salve from Stacy Waldron. All natural and works amazon healing cuts and scrapes.

Dr Loven had this healed up in a month. I have rosacea and he is the best derm I've seen.
Andrea G. replied:
They sell Vitamin E oil in the drug stores like Walgreens. It is very good for scars and tissue issues, better than coconut. We use Dr. Gold in GreenHills who has worked miracles for my daughter.
My husband is a pharmaceutical rep and calls on almost every derm in the state. He sent me to Belle Meade Dermatology on White Bridge Rd. Not sure there are pediatric derms.

Brittany R. replied:
I love Dr. Fairhurst. My husband and I have seen him multiple times and he’s never tried to sell us anything... and I feel I’m a prime candidate to try and sell stuff too because of issues I’ve had with my skin leading to unevenness and scarring.
Just saw your post. I go to Dr. Keith Loven with Rivergate Dermatology. He has an office in Gallatin on Wednesdays and is very good.

Rivergate Dermatology is the best
Sally P. replied:
I'm my personal opinion and experience (and I think the following dr.'s are all wonderful) With a history of "bad moles"/melanoma cells I've seen Loven at Rivergate Dermatology, Price at Cumberland Skin, and dr. Wesley in Hville. For an aggressive approach to a known concern/issue go with Wesley. For a "let's see what it does and watch its transformation" go with anyone at Cumberland Skin. For a "let's biopsy" and wait until you are 100% healed before having to cut even more/deeper go with Loven.
