The Spot on the Seawall is pretty good. But I prefer to stay away from the overpriced places in Galveston and come inland to eat. Lots of good places in the League City/Clear Lake area. Floyd's Cajun Seafood off I-45 and Nasa 1 is great for seafood, for Tex-Mex, Jimmy Changas off 646 and I-45, Italian, Zios on Bay Area just off I-45, BBQ, throw a stick and you're bound to hit a BBQ place and most in the area are pretty good. One place to absolutely stay away from is Quaker Steak & Lube right across the road from Changa's, their food is bulk produced frozen crap that you can get at 1/4 the price from just about any grocery store.

The Pleasure Pier /Railroad Museum..and you can ride the Ferry over to High Island just for fun..or save one day to Go to Kemah boardwalk on your way back..

Rainforest Cafe is cool. Any Landry's owned restaurant is good but pricey. Yaga cafe is also good and you cant beat shrimp and stuff or olympic grill. The whole strand is good for shopping. If you want a good beach that isnt over populated like the sea wall go to Galveston State park at the south side of the Island.
Hi friends, we're looking for a really good restaurant in Galveston--and open on a Monday. Any recommendations?

My lady and I celebrate great occasions at Rudy and Paco's. If you love sushi - SkyBar is THE BOMB. And Gumbo Bar is a delicious Cajun treat, very casual. 21, right at the same corner of Rudy and Paco's, Sky, and Gumbo has great after dinner drinks. Have fun!
