Do NOT use Banfield vet! One of their employees, their Office manager/supervisor to be exact, was EXTREMELY rude to me & put me into tears, & i yelled back at her out of frustration. I have been banned from using all Banfield vets nationwide because she lied about the incident & nobody would listen to my side of the story. By the time i knew about it they had already banned me from all Banfield vets & made it where the decision could not be reversed. She was rude, yelled at me, basically accused me of abandoning my dog, & said that i cost them 2 appointments by not showing up when i wasn't scheduled for appts i was told i could come in for a walk in at that time & wait until they could squeeze me in. When i tried to explain everything that she was yelling at me about she just yelled more, wouldnt listen to me & hung up on me! When i got back to the vet, which i had left my roommate there to get my dog while i went to my appointment & told them i was going to an appointment so i did not abandon my dog, we got into an argument again & thats when i blew up at her. She said that i threatened her & became violent & almost needed to be removed by the police. That is NOT true. I am NOT a violent person. I may yell & get loud but you have to REALLY push me to get me to that point, & even then i just scream & cry out of frustration. Ive used Banfield for at least 10 years & in Georgia, Alabama, Indiana & Washington states & have NEVER EVER had a confrontation or argument with ANY off their employees at ANY of the locations i have Used for my pets, in all the years ive been using Banfield. Of course that doesn't show anything for my history with Banfield. There are always two sides to every story, but no one bothered to ask me what happened, they just automatically banned me from Banfield nationwide. The only threat i made was that i would have her job if ive got anything to do with it. Guess she needed to get rid of me to save her job. Ive never been banned from anywhere or anything, & i should not be banned from Banfield because she is unprofessional & ignorant & pissed me off. Its not my fault that her employees do not communicate or relay information from me to them. Anyway, i dont recommend Banfield to anyone. Not because they are a bad vet but because this is how they handle a situation even when their employee is wrong & at fault. Im not upset that they banned me cause i could care less, plenty of vets around. Im upset that the employee is allowed to treat a customer the way that she treated me & get away with it & then ban the customer to avoid having to deal with the incident. If this is how they handle things than i can find a vet that respects It's customers more than that, & treats them better than that anyway.

I don't recommend taking a pet to VCA. At the clinic I work at we get a lot of clients who have had bad experiences there... just my opinion though. You can apply for Care Credit, some clinics take it. Just a thought. Good luck

Sadly I found out the local shelters are by law unable to provide care, and I find that interesting.. Would still try calling the local humane society(253-383-2733) - or PAWS of Bainbridge Island. I hope they can point ya in the right direction, there aren't many rescues in the local area.

Gig Harbor Vet used to treat feral cats. They may be open now, but not later and again until Monday. Are you able to get near it? Infection is a possibility as you wait.
