I used Lien in west Seattle but wasn't terribly impressed so I switched to West Sea Animal Hospital which I absolutely swear by! Excellent medical care and it felt like "Cheers" every time we walked in- they all knew my cat's name and loved her to death. Can't go wrong there! Also used Dana from Fair Aisle for a house call euthanasia and she was really great, and very sensitive under the circumstances.
Kirk R. replied:

Fair Isle. Dana is our vet, but we have seen the others in urgent situations. All of them have been competent and compassionate with our two dogs!
Can anyone recommend a vet who can do safe and legal (licensed) dog neutering? Fair Isle gave a $500 estimate. I have a f***g terrier, not a pack of wolf hounds. Any...
Amy G. replied:
If you don't find an on island price, try Lien Animal Clinic in West Seattle. They are a Vashon family, so great with the furry ones. Good luck. Btw, Lien is right by West Seattle Bowl and new TJs.
Vicky V. replied:
FYI, Fair Isle just got through two months of discount dog and cat neutering via VIPP fix-a-dog and fix-a-cat programs. It's not easy for regular vets to make much money at it (and it displaces other work, other clients), but fulltime spay/neuter clinics can stay in the black because they are so efficient. Here's one in Tacoma that should be more affordable http://www.coalitionhumane.org/
Nancy E. replied:
http://www.seattle.gov/animalshelter/ we took our cat here many years ago..all went well. $40! There are links to other spay/neuter clinics in Tacoma, Burien on their site, too
Constance S. replied:
I've also heard good things about the Lien vet in West Seattle.
Greg D. replied:
I think last time I drove past, I saw Dr. Larry (Vashon Vet) advertising discounted spay/neuter at this time.
Looking for a vet recommendation. Have a puppy that needs shots and such. Thanks!

Faire Isle is excellent. I especially like Dr. Givotovsky--he's very experienced, thorough, thoughtful, and always mentions new research when caring for my dogs. BUT, for routine shots, Kaja will be terrific and certainly less expensive. And she does house calls!
Does anyone have a vet they like in west seattle? I need to get some serial labs drawn and am in Seattle often - would like to find an affordable and trustworthy place...
Kelly A. replied:
I love the Pet Care Center at Luna Park. It's on Avalon right next to the Luna Park Café. Our first visit was when my dog was injured while we were off island on a Saturday, and they were the only place we could find open. Now that we live in West Seattle, we continue to go there, because their prices are very reasonable, their treatment of my dogs is excellent, and their bedside manner to us humans is great also.
Märta B. replied:
I've gone to Pet Care Center for years and like them a lot.
