What do you mean by the screen is broke? If it's showing the login and you can see it, then there shouldn't be any problem with the screen... And I do PC repair junk for shits and giggles these days (used to do it professionally as a consultant, but now I've got an office job instead). So if you wanted to bring it by I could probably give it a whang for you. I'm in Laveen, tho.

if its windows 8 you can do a factory reset on it. its late now but i can instruct you how to do this later. as for the screen, that may cost more to repair than what you paid for the whole laptop, might be worth it to just use it as a desktop w/ an external monitor.

If the laptop is less than a year old, it should still be under manufacturer's warranty. Call up the company (Asus, Toshiba, HP, etc) and request on-site service by a product rep. They will usually bring the parts you need and do the service within 72 hours of the first call.
