More in the east valley. If you don't mind the drive go to Carrie Rittling at east valley naturopathic doctors. Expensive at first visit but she is amazing! We go a few times a year so its totally less money in the end. I also live in northwest phx and trust me she is worth it. Amazing.
Melissa P. replied:
She even has her patients read the vaccine book by Dr. Sears and she said after you have read it she will support you 100%. Mainly because she just wants her parents to be educated. Again she is amazing.
Danielle C. replied:
Dr. Nathan Vituru was recommended to me recently, I haven't actually used him, but I've heard from several that he's awesome. I think he's on the 51 & northern.
Gina D. replied:
We went to Dr. Chung at Mesa pediatrics in Ahwatukee. Bot super close to glendale but finding a good Dr is worth the drive. She is an amazing Dr. Never questioned our decision regarding vax. Was super excited we were still bf at 19 months, is all for extended rear facing. We moved out of state and were sad about leaving her.
Katie C. replied:
I'm in Glendale! We go to Cactus Children's Clinic on 59 th Ave and Union Hills. Ask to see Danielle. I don't know if she is the actual pediatrician or just an assistant but we always ask for her when making appointments and she has never questioned us or pressured us to vax.

We use Agave Pediatrics. They are in N and S Scottsdale right now, but they are opening a Deer Valley office in the next month. They blew our previous Ped away. Try Scottsdale Shea for first timer classes.

Pediatrician recommendation www.pediatrixmd.com How old are you and your spouse? All the prep we did was useless IMO, Just have the required physical items IE: crib, diapers, ect, ect, and try not to lose your mind. Stocking up on diapers was super helpful we had several boxes of different sizes and my son was too large for newborn so we had to exchange them for 1 s. My son's 4 now...He gave me a visual graph with his hands on how the flavor and texture of the dinner I made was...(The flavor is like here ....but the texture is like down here) it was amusing but also hurtful all at the same time.

My wife and I took a first time parents class at Banner she set it all up so I'm not much help there but it was decent. Like you said anything is better than nothing. We delivered at Banner and our doctor was Dr. Zhang and Desert West Obgyn. She was great and was recommended by our friends and I'd pass that on to anyone else. Good luck! Is it a boy or girl? Need any hand me downs? My girls are 2 and 4 and my wife is constantly giving things away.
Evilution602 replied:
All we got was a video that said don't shake the baby. I was worried, but everything came natural. Also I managed to not shake the baby. We use the pediatrician at Union hills and 32 nd st. Our daughter loves them.

Honestly, you'll get as much information from YouTube and reading as you will in the class. YouTube nursing, labor, bathing, feeding, swaddling, etc. you'll get a much more hands on tutorial than you would in the classes. I opted out of the delivery class and it was fine, the nurses tell you what to do anyway and a lot of instinct comes in to play. Plus, if you're planning on nursing, the hospital provides lactation consultants and it really is a hands on learning experience. You can read up a ton and you'll never get the experience until you pop the kid on your boob. My husband was a complete n00b about babies and even with the baby care class I made him take, he still didn't grasp it completely until he had a baby in his arms. You guys will be fine, and congrats!
So I absolutely loved having Dr. Kennedy as the kids pediatrician but she knew peanut so well and I can't get myself to go back in there so I'm in search of a good...
