We just moved here a couple weeks ago, spent most of that time in a hotel room.... My son turns 3 late next week, we knew we wouldn't be doing a party when we moved...

Ava's Splash Pad at Charlie Daniel's Park and the kiddie wading pool (with water features too) at Don Fox Park in Lebanon should both be opening Memorial Day weekend. My 2 boys (almost 3 and 1 1/2) love the one at Don Fox Park. Best part is that they are free!

Adventure Science Museum is fun, but 3 may be too young. If you're willing to drive a 30-40 minutes I bet he would like the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro. Cumberland Park in downtown Nashville is a lot of fun (and free). It's next to the Titans s tadium and tucked under the big bridge. If you're doing it during the week you can ride the train from Mount Juliet to Nashville (kids under 5 are free). My kids love to ride down and go to the ice cream parlor near the train station, but the train only runs a few times in the morning and evening so you have to either stay all day or only for an hour or so.

Geneva Katie Byers is amazing at making cakes!!! Also, a fun event (though not in Mt Juliet) is Musician's Corner sponsored concerts in the park. They are at Centennial Park from 1 pm-5 pm. There are a couple of stages and a kids zone with face painting and a bounce house and other fun activities! Musicians Corner . Check it out:) So fun!
