For anyone who thinks Cap'n D's & Red Lobster is good seafood, you do not know good seafood. Try Crescent City Poboys in Gallatin on the square. They are decent. Lost Cajun is not bad either

Who remembers Captian Paulos Restaurant on Porter and Riverside in East Nashville back in the day the best Hushpuppies ever yummy
Tom P. replied:
Capt Paulos took over Mr. Worshams Barber Shop, what had been an old 5 & 10, and a Dodge Cleaners. There was a beauty shop at the end but I think it wasn't part of Capt. Paulos. The rest of the complex was occupied by Matthews Drug and Jimmy Swift's Bi-Rite market. And across Porter Road was Wood Gulf Service, owned by Bill Wood, the finest man I ever knew. It was also the largest Gulf station in the middle Tn. area. Paul and Henry Chapman and Mr. James Love made up the core of technical people who made the place successful. Bill worked there from 7 AM-10 PM, I think 7 days a week. There weren't many people who were as proud of their business as was Bill Wood. Maybe Charlie Baddacour, but not many others. Bill was on the telephone one afternoon and simply died sitting at his desk at the station. His home was at Porter/Preston Dr, and is still there. Not many like him, ever!
