Here is a link to a local co-op of doulas. Www.westmichigandoulas.com There is an informational meeting (Materni-tea) on Thursday this week at 6 pm. The topic being discussed is how having a doula decreases the rates of intervention and c-section in the hospital and how they can help avoid a primary or repeat cesarean.

I am waiting for Dr. Freebuger with OB Assoc. to go over my records and I called one other one and they said no. Dr. Rinzler was my Dr. before with my 1 st and 2 nd c sections so I don't think I would get very far with her. Dr. Freeburgers office sounds promising and didn't know why my other Drs. said no so wanted to see the records and hopefully I'll be getting a call to set up a visit. I will scroll through and see what I find thank you

Those are home birth midwives. A good hospital CNM is Brenda Daniels... (Susan Wente is a homebirth and hospital birth CNM)

Sara Badger is another homebirth MW. I doula and teach the Bradley Method. West Michigan Better Birth Network is a great resource for her to see a list of GR doulas in the area to interview depending on her personality. Good luck!
