Therapeutic horse back riding could be a option . The movement of the horse is similar to the human stride . Riding can help build overall body symmetry and balance . There’re contraindication though for riding and scoliosis. The degree of curvature has be be below a certain number and riding is not permitted with a Harrington rod. There is also weight limit for therapeutic riding www.pards.ca

I have scoliosis brought on by degenerative disc disease. I was told they could do nothing for me. Three surgeons I went to and they all said very arrogantly I might add, that I would have to be in a wheel chair before they could operate. Well let me see, that would be years on opiates which I did not want to go on, just to get you through the pain. Let alone your quality of life. I found a woman in St Albert. Her business is Restoration Chiropratic. With in 2 sessions I was pain free. I feel on top of the world. 780-458-9828. I have a 4 degree curve in my spine. I would recommend Gloria Johnson. She has worked miracles on me. I don’t have scoliosis but other issues she has helped immensely with. I had seen 2 physics, chiropractors, acupuncture, doctors, massage therapist and the list continues for over 6 yrs. My last try before I gave up for good finding relief was Gloria. And I haven’t looked back. Want more details please pm me.

I also recommend Dr.Hessel at the North West Wellness centre. He really looks for the root cause and is so incredibly knowledgeable.

I went there once and it helped with the muscle spasms that were debilitating....but the tightness stayed. Maybe I just need to go back and keep going. Dr. Sue prevented me from jumping off a building...his first treatment literally changed my quality of life by a good 60%. But I have to % so my spine can be straight again...I have less than 10 degrees but it's like my body turned against me and robbed me of making a decent living.
