It's not in those cities, but Hillside Veterinary Clinic on Mockingbird in Dallas is open 24/7 and doesn't increase their prices on weekends/at night. They do great work.

One time I used Southlake Animal Hospital, 817.481.2014. However I am not familiar with their prices these days.

After some serious dropping of balls and neglect on a certain vet's side, I found Susan Gwen at All Creatures in Keller. She is AWESOME! And so reasonably priced. I have trusted her with the life of all of my pets and she genuinally cares. If she doesn't know something she will say "I don't know but let me research that and get back to you". And her specialty at A & M was avian.

We've used this emergency vet a few times and they are terrific. I would not say they are particularly affordable, but they accept care credit and used to accept payment arrangements. You can also call and ask for advice. They will let you know if it can wait until morning. http://aehnt.com

Question from Elizabeth: Could someone recommend an excellent vet in the DFW area with extensive knowledge and skill to crop a Great Dane puppy?

Liz B. replied:
Thank you all. We have set up an appt with Dr. Schaffer to discuss Caspian's eligibility and a thoroughly detailed explanation of the after care. I will not go into this lighthearted nor without being 100% confident in my ability to upkeep them. Caspian is my first official Dane and is pet only, but I have a dream to show at least one Dane in my lifetime.
Barb B. replied:
She does all the show Danes, show Dobermans, show Giant Schnauzers etc in the area. I would not have anyone else do a crop on any of my pups. She's not cheap, but you will be happy with the results. Be aware, there is a LOT of aftercare with cropped...See More
Crystal H. replied:
Also, if your puppy is already past a certain age, it's advisable to re-think cropping. The most successful crops are done between 7 and 10 weeks, depending on the puppy. After 10 weeks of age it typically takes much longer after care to get the ears to stand. Dr. Shaffer can advise you on everything involved.
Does anyone have resources to a rescue who can pull and get her the vet care she needs? ?
