Looking for suggestions for a local vet that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. We currently use Banfield in Southlake and we're looking for other options.

Dr Fusselman in Southlake is ours for years. Highly recommended.
I like Northwest Animal Hospital in Grapevine, on William D. Tate Blvd. Very good & friendly staff!
Cara G. replied:
Won't do Northwest Animal Hospital in Grapevine. The dr there treated on of our pets years ago an it did not have a good outcome.
Kim E. replied:
Dr Bruton right across the street from Banfield

If you are just needing vaccines/nail trim/ or spay/neuter go to Texas Coalition for Animal Protection, they are located at 35 and westport across from Cabelas. I got our dog neutered, heart worm test, 6 mos of heart worm meds, nails cut and ALL his vaccines for $100.00. They do walk ins for vaccines and there is no office fee and the shots are dirt cheap. For any thing other than those services Alta Vista is the top
Donna P. replied:
Use Dr Crable in Haslet. 15 mins from TC. He is one of the top vets in the state of Texas and by far the most reasonable in pricing. Is called Haslet Vet They have a Facebook page.
Pam F. replied:
South Denton Animal Clinic on 377. Very reasonable and great vet.
Shaina B. replied:
Dr Metcalf at Davis Blvd Animal Clinic in North richland hills. Wouldn't take our pets to anyone else. Great and knowledge guy, reasonable prices.
Debi M. replied:
Not sure what exactly you need but check out texasforthem.org .....they may do what you're looking for.
Susan E. replied:
I can vouche for Dr. Robin at the Decatur vet. They don't take appointments is the only draw back. They did new our dog's cancer surgery for 1/3 less than the other vet. If you have patience and time, I recommend them.
Jennifer R. replied:
Rickords Animal Hospital on Harmon and Blue Mound Rd. Dr. Rickords is wonderful!
Can anyone recommend a vet who is especially good with small dog issues? Our Chi-weenie has a degenerative joint condition and it seems to be getting worse very quickly....
Jessica M. replied:
Argyle veterinarian hospital. We see Dr. Person, but I have a golden retriever, not a small dog. I think she is very nice and honest.
Rexanne M. replied:
Bruce Fusselman at Lake Cities Animal Clinic in Southlake. He's such a great vet who loves animals, and he knows his stuff!!
Lisa R. replied:
Another vote for Dr. Fusselman. We have a bulldog and there are unscrupulous vets out there who see us coming from a mile away. Not so with him, he's great!
Lisa H. replied:
Fussleman is not accepting new pets at this time. We also love argyle animal hospital. We have seen Dr Royse and Pearson.

If you don't mind a drive and a wait (no appts -- you sign in and wait), the Decatur Vet is awesome.

Bruce Fusselman at lake cities animal clinic in Southlake!
Dianne N. replied:
I use to use that mobile vet and now we go to Petsmart. The vets are all very nice and informative. Plus we signed up for their program so you pay a monthly fee which covers all vaccines and visits. For puppies it even covers spay or neutering. It also gives you a discount on anything else you might need. DR Leonard is our favorite.
Marlo W. replied:
Bruce Fusselmann is awesome! He usually doesn't take new clients in the summer because he is so busy but once school starts up again...

Alta Vista Animal Hospital is where I take Chance. It's not "quite" as expensive as others.
I know this has been asked but...I am looking for a new vet for our dog. Not Roanoke and Dr. Fusselman is not taking new clients. Recommendations please? TIA!
