Trista W. replied:
When I lived in the Annapolis area, I saw Dr. Daniel Hexter (he is young and up to date). I now live in Va Beach, VA and I see Dr. Kilhenney (he is good, but has traditional views). If it were up to me, I would still travel to Annapolis, but it isn't reasonable. I do still go there for my surgeon (Dr. Timothy Burke) since it isn't as frequent for maintenance. Good luck.
Anneliese F. replied:
Dr. Ward at Dartmouth Hitchcock hospital in Lebanon, NH. He and Jeanne Anne Brown are amazing to work with!
Jodie L. replied:
I see Dr. Stuart Stark at the Neurology and Headache treatment center in McLean, VA. He's been great with me. Having said that, I'm at a maintenance stage and haven't discussed shunts or other surgical options because I don't need them. Start making phone calls to see who has experience. Good Luck!
Deanna G. replied:
Dr Cho at Mass General in Boston. He has been great! Works very closely with both my neurosurgeon and Neuro ophthalmologist. I travel down there, not happy with anyone I've been to on seacoast NH
Barbara L. replied:
Neuro-Opthomology I highly recommend Dr. Vivek Patel at John's Hopkins in Baltimore at the Wilmer Eye Clinic. He did his thesis on IIH and he's really good.
NEED HELP PLEASE - I'm looking for a really good (not just by reputation, but by experience, please) pediatric neurologist on Long Island / in NYC. Thank you, friends.
Cynthia B. replied:
I just saw that you needed someone specifically for seizures. This is who saw K. She's supposed to be one of the best. I liked what I saw during our brief hospital stay and I have friends who swear by her. http://www.northshorelij.com/cushing-neuroscience-institute/our-physicians/josiane-m-lajoie-md
Liane C. replied:
If this is seizure related, I'd recommend Orrin Devinsky at NYU.
Cynthia B. replied:
Dr. Milanaik on Long Island. (Developmental neuro).
Helaina W. replied:
Arnold Gold, was Eric's neurologist for his Epilepsy. Out of Columbia. Fabulous. Even called from England to follow up after an incident
Liane C. replied:
We've seen her too. When my son was hospitalized she covered for Dr. Devinsky a few times. She's great too.
Michele T. replied:
Dr. Judith Bluvstein at NYU is thoughtful, never rushes, excellent. I chose to go to Boston General because the facilities at NYU are hard to swallow for a child with extreme anxiety who is very aware. For a younger child, or one not so affected, I wouldn't go anyplace else. Can PM you her email address if you're interested. She oversaw and consulted on everything at BG. Terrific.
Hello all, I need to talk. I went to a doctor a few months ago and broke down in tears. My body had been in so much pain for years. I had been diagnosed with lupis,...
DuAnn B. replied:
Find a chiari specialist neurosurgeon! Don't waste time with others. I went to Dr. Oro in aurora co. For the surgery.
