>all the videos are very boring people making very boring and elegant guitars That's just patently untrue. There are videos of people building crazy guitars, people fitting weird pickup combinations, people finishing/painting guitars in every conceivable style. There are videos on building guitars out of wood, out of Lego, out of pencils and resin, metal, concrete and more. And just to cover the obvious - putting a bass pickup in a guitar won't make it sound like a bass. It probably won't sound very good (being voiced for bass) but if course you might like the sound. But there's a reason people generally don't do it.

It depends on a lot of things. Is this a hobby you're looking to get into, or more of just a one off project/experiment?
For a one off, your best bet is buying a kit/ a body blank and neck getting a place like Warmoth. Get a body with no pickup routes, buy a decent router for $150, some templates, rout out your pickup cavities, add your hardware, bolt on your neck, wire it up, string it up, done.
If you're interested in getting into luthiery as a serious hobby, than I actually really recommend starting away from kits and starting as much from "scratch" as possible. Starting that way forces you to build up your toolkit both in terms of woodworking/luthiery skills and actual tools you'll need to do the job. Not something I'd recommend if you're on the fence though, good tools are absolutely necessary and very expensive, so if you only want to build one or two instruments, it's not worth the investment

/r/ Luther might be a good place to look. When I was looking into doing a similar thing they were super helpful. Especially with the smaller and less obvious stuff

If you are not super experienced and are looking for something with minimal work you can get everything including finished necks and bodies at guitarfetish.com… they also have kits as well which would require paint and sanding… also byoguitar is a site that specializes in guitar kits. Just remember it’s more then screwing things together, you will need to know to to do slight modifications if it’s not perfect, how to paint , sand , and seal properly.. truss rod adjustments etc

UK brands like Panache, Freya and Fantasie sell many bra sized bikinis. I find them on sale on Amazon and sites like www.barenecessities.com and www.breakoutbras.com. www.bravissimo.com also has a lot of options although they have less sales.

Little Pampered People (on Wade Hampton beside Dixie Drive-In) usually has a pretty good selection of equipment. Also, my mom has a barely used port-a-crib she wants to sell at the moment. (She's on 253 between TR and Cherrydale.)
