can anyone recommend a awesome neurologist in Greenville? thanks
Robin R. replied:
The best neurologist is in Spartanburg, Dr. Koistra. She is the head of the neurology dept. at I think Mary Black Hospital. She is so worth driving there. You take the Chesnee exit off of I 85. Call and talk if you need any questions answered.
Sorry haven't seen you guys in a while. The MS has not been kind. I am in need of a new neurologist. Mine is no longer carried by my insurance. Who is your neuro and do...
Sarah B. replied:
I think most of the group is now using Dr. Hughes, but i use Dr. Kent Kistler. No Dr. Is perfect, but i like him. I never feel rushed, but because of that, i do often have to wait a while in the waiting room. Still overall, i am happy with him.
Daida C. replied:
Dr. Kistler was the neuro that for years told me he didnt know what was wrong. I did not have MS, and that it was all in my head. Not going back to him! Glad he has been good to you though:)
Betty S. replied:
I also use Dr. Kent Kistler and so far so good. The group is Neurology Associates of Greenville. They have two neuro's. My advise is to stay away from Dr. John Absure in Greenville.
Karen B. replied:
Dr Absher is my neurologist. I have received excellent medical care in his office and don't care what his bedside manner is.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a great neurologist in Greenville!
Traci O. replied:
Dr Burch is at East Carolina Neurology and she was great and I believe she sees adults
Delores W. replied:
Not sure about Dr. Burch. She is the one that told my daughter that she thought that my grandson had Cerebal Palsy at 15 months because he was not walking. NO tests had been ran on him when she came up with this assumption.
Traci O. replied:
We also saw Dr Boutilier (sp?) at EC Neurology and I liked her also. It has been over 7 years since we have seen any of them.
Is anyone aware of a good neurologist in the Greenville area? Preferably one who's well educated in MS and understanding/compassionate?
Siomara T. replied:
I see Dr. Mary Hughes on patewood campus. She has a sister with ms. She has been my ms neurologist for the past 4.years.
Sarah B. replied:
He is not an MS specialist, but I see Dr. Kent Kistler on Grove Rd. I have been with him since 12/2008 and my personal experience with him has been great with any MS issues that I have had.

Dr. Morales was wonderful for our kids when they were alive. He was always very busy, but he really seemed to care.
