Hey, hey!!! Thank you, Jared Aljasier Morrison - you ARE the man, since YOU are the one who sold me my Liberty Mutual policy many moons ago!! You are with what company now? You're an independent broker, right? We have an opening Downtown Vancouver - if you're interested!! Email me if so- becky@itakethelead.com
Jared M. replied:
Thanks Becky! My wife and I bought a "semi-captive" Horace Mann Agency. This gives us the ability to combine the benefits and support of an exclusive captive carrier market, with the robust product offering and market flexibility of the independent agency distribution method. It's been great! Although I do miss Liberty Mutual! I wouldn't mind checking out the new group. Can please you email or text me the info? BTW, if you haven't already noticed, Lennie Andersen is a suoerstar! I worked with him at Farmers! He is a true success story of what hard work and tenacity will accomplish.
Janna S. replied:
Hi Becky! Definitely broken water pipes is a claim you can present to your insurance company. If it causes water damage to sheetrock, floors, etc., that SHOULD be a covered loss, subject to the deductible. The policy stipulates that you can and should do whatever it takes to mitigate the damage so contacting a plumbing and or Service Master to dry the water is definitely advisable. One exclusion for water damage is if you've not been occupying your home for more than 30 days and didn't use care to maintain heat. I don't know if the policy will pay to replace the pipes? That would be a question for the adjuster. When someone has water damage, they should always contact the insurance company so that every effort can be made to prevent mold and other issues like that.
Becky T. replied:
Email me directly, Jared, so I can get you the info. becky@itakethelead.com I thought you'd said you'd be interested in a group in that area. Lennie IS a superstar!! Another of my favs...a real go getter, true professional.

I would recommend Flow Right Plumbing - Juan Velazquez. He's very good and is professional. I've had some bad experiences with contractors, but over the years I've finally found people that are skilled, responsible, and trustworthy.
