I need some help finding a really good hair dresser that cuts mixed chick curly hair. I have had the same hair dresser for 17 years and I am now too far away...

Deva Curl is definitely the way to go! I wasn't aware that Hush was Deva trained- I go to www.ellenoire.com in Dundas for their salon and Deva products. I've gone through a LOT of salons and products, and nothing has ever made my hair gorgeous like the Deva system. Noelle, the owner/stylist at Ellenoire is mixed plus has gone through chemo, so she really gets all the nuances that our hair can produce.

Have you heard of the Deva Curl line? Check it out. There is only one salon in Guelph that is trained in this specific cutting style. The cut really has changed my curls and I get compliments all the time. I highly recommend you try out Hush Salon and Spa on Woodlawn, they are fantastic. Cost is very reasonable, and if you tell them I sent you, we will both get $10 off!
Amanda H. replied:
Yes, Apple Salon right beside city hall downtown. The only place I have been to that can cut and style my curly hair.
Saw it posted here of In Home Hair Businesses-Need my hair done asap for a Gala Event tomorrow night. Do you know of any hairstylist in the Mattamy or Hespeler Area?
Hairdresser in Guelph Hii! Just wanted recommendations on hairstylists in Guelph.. I'm very picky with who cuts my hair and the last few places i tried in Guelph weren't...

I see Laura at Stylers and I think she does a great job! https://www.stylers.ca/ Now granted I'm a guy, but every time I go in, she's working on a woman and they always seem to be happy, and to me they look good.

You have got to try Maj! Her salon is on Victoria at Grange (her salon just opened but I used to go when she had it in her house!). I have super long hair too and she's been great, even had her do my wedding hair. She's inexpensive and easy to chat with and actually listens when I ask her to only trim a bit or if I ask for long layers:) Seriously great, check her out: https://www.majhairsalon.com

Adam at Fusion on Gordon. I have recommended numerous people to him and not one has ever been disappointed. I have been going to him for the past 5 years, and regardless of hair type (latino long and thick) he does an amazing job!! On top of that the staff is great, very nice and chatty. You get a great service and the price is phenomenal. I came from paying $300+ in Toronto to barely half in Guelph

If you're in the south end my buddy runs the Carbon Hair Studio on the corner of Arkell and Victoria.

Michelle at Hush is the only person I trust with my hair :)

Gen at Acqua is who you are looking for. Like you I am extremely picky. I have since moved from Guelph...and still drive back to see her. She is a perfectionist with a capital P and her haircuts always garner compliments. I had really long hair when I started with her 5 years ago and short now. She can do it all.

Courtney at Fresh. Had my first haircut in 8 years with her last month.
Hair Salon Recommendations? I'm looking for a good female cut - nothing fancy but reliable. Any reviews or suggestions?

Of course I have to promote Tangles Hair Designs on Gordon/Kortright (where the Tim Hortons is)! I've been a stylist there for over 4 years and I love meeting new clients. I always accept new guests and if you are new to the salon I offer $10.00 off on your first visit! Toss me a message if you're interested! Or you can call the salon directly at 519-763-4247 to book with me! My name is Meg:)
