Amit Kumar Pandey Hi amit, go to the Superpharm in Ziv, ask them for antiseptic lotion, or iodine lotion, cotton and some antiseptic cream for wounds, and plaster, this should be available over the counter, you can also try cleaning the wound with regularly with vodka or after shave, I hope this helps !!
Abhinaba G. replied:
Amit Kumar Pandey Apply Neosporin/soframycin topical ointment, hot compress, take NSAID (Ibuprofen) tablets; try keeping the wound open when not walking on the road (you may consider wearing chappals at work, for the time being). Avoid exposure to dirt. Feel free to write to me anytime at abhinaba.here@gmail.com.

When I went my Clalit the first time, I asked which doctor speaks English, and the secretary looked at me and said "Well, if you asked for Russian, that would be easier... But I think Dr. So and So speaks passible English... I'll check"
Alyssa B. replied:
At Ibn Sina Clalit clinic there's a nice English-speaking dr. I don't know her name. I don't make appointments over the phone anymore, I just go in person and look confused and they generally see me right away. Highly recommend this technique.
Sara R. replied:
Wow Nastasha Minyon Sale Vardiyah is not my area but what the heck, I'll travel for an absolutely wonderful doctor who speaks English!
Shavua tov, everyone! I just had a second occurrence of an issue that Google/Wiki's best estimate was that it's an ocular migraine. The first time roughly 1.5-2 years...
I have a recurrent eye issue for which I have received treatment in the States many times. With that history to judge the quality of treatment here, I can say, stay away from Dr. Iris Elron (Maccabi). I filed a complaint against her and was allowed to switch physicians early. A sabra friend told me about her opthamologist, Dr. Noah Segal, also Maccabi, who I saw and liked. His number is 048255641.
Avi E. replied:
Thanks again, Michael. I'm kinda on a caffeine cleanse for a week and I'm swearing off them on the weekend for sure (3 day weekends), so I should be okay. smile emoticon Thanks for the advice, Sage. My wife speaks Hebrew very well so I'll keep Dr. Segal in mind!
Anyone have a suggestion for a decent dentist who isn't super expensive? I've had a terrible toothache since yesterday. Went to Macabident. They have urgent care service...
Esti S. replied:
I can recommend a great dentist- Dr. Horowitz Gershon. He's at Moria st. 63. He's the most decent dentist I have ever met, and looks very professional. He charge you only if you need treatment. I go to him every year and didn't pay him one shekel yet because he always say my teeth are fine and sends me home. So I don't know how much he charge but I do know I trust him, which I can't say for any of the kupat holim dentists. http://www.d.co.il/9774700/46230/

Jonathan M. replied:
You can speak with Dr. Permut (+972 4-825-7464). I think a consultation is about 100 NIS, but if it's broken and already hurting, my instinct says it will need work now, and the work will cost you anywhere you go. He's a graduate of NYU dental school, as I recall.

Natalie A. replied:
Dr. Zemburg is my OBGYN...he personally answered the phone when the office was closed and answered (in English) the phone from his cell. Throughout my pregnancy I was a nudnick, and he was very patient with me. He is an amazing Dr...the only thing is I don't know if he takes Clalit (I am Maccabi), but it is worth finding out. He is located on Moriah St (Ahuza)...good luck!!!!
Patty M. replied:
I asked for an appointment with Dr. Sandra Cohen and they gave it to me for December 16. Is it always like that with every Dr or just with her?
Emily L. replied:
I usually get an appointment within a week -- are you going to your appointment at the Linn Clinic or to Romemma
Patty M. replied:
I requested for Linn Clinic but I'll call Romemma to see if they have something earlier. Maybe because it's my first appointment?
Avital R. replied:
Dr. Sandra Cohen-Weinstein is in Clalit, and I strongly recommend her. She's American, returns her messages, and even sometimes answers the phone in her small office (she also has hours at Lin). She's very busy, but she's good. 04-8256364 is the number at her small office in Romema (halfway between Neve Shaanan and Ahuza).
Lindsay M. replied:
I went to lin throughout my pregnancy. I saw Dr. Cohen-Weinstein there, but more important to me was the nurse, Anat who I saw once a month. She was such a sweetheart and spent so much time with me. It's a huge medical center there, so someone is always around who can help you I'm English. Dr Cohen is from NYC, by her accent.

I've heard this is a good dentist, but haven't been personally, don't know about the English either, I'm assuming they've got to have enough English for you to manage... Dr. Tirosh: 04-8247131

Thank you all for your help on and off list and for your well wishes. I have an appointment first thing tomorrow morning for my introduction to Israeli dental care. I am already way impressed that I got an appointment so quickly. But, I'm still not gonna smile until this black hole is fixed.
