Anyone have a recommendation for an eye doctor in the Murrysville or Irwin areas?
Bethany Y. replied:
We've never had a complaint about Your Family Eye Doctor. They have both Irwin and murrysville locations. I go to the murrysville one and love it.

Over on Golden Mile Hwy, Dr. Landis at https://www.facebook.com/304037929622088 Perfect Vision. She is such a good eye doctor and so caring and NICE! Everyone who works there is very nice, too. She came in on a Saturday when a relative of mine had an eye injury.

I gonto Dr Moira Monsour - across from Giant Eagle on Harrison City Export Rd. She's very, very good. I found the bigger offices bring in too many people and it's like a zoo, which I dislike.

I see Dr Pennock at eyemdsforkids.com ... they are a pediatric eye doctor but do adult ophthalmology. They did my strabismus surgery and were awesome. They are right in Murrysville so super close!

Nicole L. replied:
I highly recommend Dr. Monsour! I went to Eyecare Greengate for several years and was just there in June when I was having an issue with my one eye. They assured me everything was fine and I just had dry eyes. I made an appointment with Dr. Monsour bc my eye wasn't getting any better. I actually had a huge scratch on my eye that Eyecare Greengate missed. I needed prescription eye drops to heal the scratch but thankfully it did heal. I will never go back to Eyecare Greengate.
Pediatric Opthamology in Murrysville Dr Paviglianiti
Jen L. replied:
We go to Dr. Hoover at Everett & Hurite in Greensburg. I really like him and the staff. We are a little limited on who Ryan can go to because of his glaucoma. I did not like Dr. Pav in Murrysville. Much longer wait times there, too.
Dana R. replied:
I take my son (has issues) to Dr. Kenneth Cheng in Wexford. My son inherited his problem from me and Dr. Cheng is a specialist as well as "eye doctor". All he sees are kids!
Gina L. replied:
Pediatric Ophthalmology in Murrysville. Heard Dr Pav was excellent and Dr Pennock just did my eye surgery on Monday with great success.
Louanne S. replied:
My son has been seeing Dr Pav for years, I love him .. Very knowledgeable and great bedside manner
Lesley S. replied:
My son sees Pediatric Opthalmology also..very happy
Jen L. replied:
Perhaps Dr. Pav is good with perfectly behaved kids that don't have issues. My son is on the spectrum and also has glaucoma which requires pressure checks (not a fun process) and he was not very cooperative. Dr. Pav was less than helpful getting him to cooperate and actually made the situation worse. After him telling my son that he was making him be in a bad mood and he was going to go home grumpy and yell at his kids and that would be all my son's fault, I was DONE. We switched to Dr. Hoover and have not had one problem in the last 2 years. We are at the eye doctor no less than every 6 months.
Jennifer M. replied:
My son has seen Dr. Pav since birth ! Love him !!
Kelly S. replied:
Dr Pav! We have been with him since my daughter was 18 months old. She is 9 now.
Amy C. replied:
I go to that same group, Dr Pav is an MD which I need for my one daughter that had medical eye problems, but Dr.Wertlet is the optometrist in the practice which I use for my other kids. Great group as a whole.
