We used Alton Tree removal and their estimate was considerably less than the other estimates. Their work was fast, efficient and they cleaned up wonderfully after themselves.

Alton is great! Luna Tree is awesome for taller trees that Alton won't take. Their estimates were twice lower than some others I've gotten.
Do tree service contractors need to obtain any kind of permit for removing large trees from private property? Does anyone know which town agency, if any, is responsible...

Just make sure you hire a company that is licensed and insured. I have used Alton Tree Removal and been extremely happy with their work.
