Any recommendations for a pain management doctor specifically for a disc herniated in the the cervical spine area?

My neuro surgeon is Dr Sumeer Sathi631-475-5511 and he also runs a pain management from his office BUT......i recommend the accupuncnture as a 1 st course of treatment

I worked for a pain management dr that I would stay clear of. Not sure if he is still practicing. I'll pm his name. If you need an acupuncturist I use Madeline Villani in Kings Park. She is great!

Thanks Mark, but Dr. Durkin isn't at Stony Brook any longer. I used him a few years ago myself and loved him. Unfortunately, he's not an option:(

I suffer from RA and when I need injections, I go to Pain Management of Long Island. Their number is 474-2300. They are at 59 Nesconset Hwy (347). Can't say enough good things about them. Good luck!

Dr Wu(631-265-8258) Lake Grove in the new Bldg on Alexander Ave across from IHOP..........I've had back issues for 12 yrs...I've had everything from injections all the way to rods and screws put into my lower back....Dr Wu is the only one that is able to help me and he does accupuncture.....he is a regular MD that accepts insurances but he specializes in accupuncture.......his office is a busy one..........feel free to inbox me with questions.
