Can anyone recommend a good insurance broker for landlords buildings insurance? The quotes I have just got in from mine this year seem way too high.

Can anyone recommend a cheap insurance company? T.I.A
Tom G. replied:
Direct Line. Not always cheapest but always sensible money.. why do I stick with them? - Because I actually know what the service is like when something actually happens. Do some research about whoever you pick, see what experiences people have had.
Martin C. replied:
Sound advice from Tom Grant. You can't beat research. You hope you're never going to have to handle a claim but if you do have to you'll likely find out why you paid the price you did. A few years ago Hastings Direct came out best for all of my quotes but a quick Google showed why. About a 10% customer satisfaction rating on customer service in the event of needing help. Direct Line are good if you need them and have just been cheapest for my new driver son's first car. Also be careful when you use a "compare" website. Their quotes are normally based on a massive excess, no NCD protection or legal cover, no easy payment terms etc and by the time you've got it to the level of cover you want, suddenly their price is not so attractive
