Shannon, we had the same thing - our washer was sounding like an elephant. We have a front loader, and it was the 'axle' that the drum spins on that was failing. The guy was honest with us and told us he could fix it, but it would be really expensive, and it would likely never be the same, or, we could just run it like it is until it quits, and start saving for a new one... I really appreciated that - his honesty smile emoticon He is The Appliance Doctor (I see someone recommended him already). His number is 772-1758....

The Appliance Doctor cured what ailed me today...the dryer came apart unlike anything I've seen...a jigsaw puzzle. The best part was, tucked underneath the control panel was a schematic that showed how to disassemble the machine...#SMH
