Mendota Animal Hospital on Dodd Road off 110. The Dr there is as good as the U, closer and they have worked with us when we had puppy problems.

Debbi A. replied:
South view is the best,my dog was just fine but the next morning he could not walk, see, move, we rushed him up there and they did CT scan, we were waiting for results but it was taking to long, this dog was almost dead, they went with us out to the U in there van, we were ther for maybe 20 min and they said we should put him down or we could pay 20 Thousand, that's right 20 Thousand and they would do surgery on his neck, they thought it was something in his neck, they had not seen CT so I still don't know how they got that dignoises, but anyway we said no to all of it,went back to South View they worked on him but him in ICU and to make a long story short he is happy health and back to were he was before this happened, all I can say is stay away of U,for me it was an awfully expiruce,Dr. Cincoskiis the best, also vet care is expensive my bill was over 5000.00

Mission Animal Hospital in Hopkins. It's not solely income-based. Their rates are less than most regular vets in and of itself but, yes, they also offer a "Mission Program" to those who qualify under their income guidelines. http://www.missionah.com
Karen V. replied:
Try the University of Mn small animal. 612-625-6212.
Deb G. replied:
If that doesn't work Care Credit will give you 6 months to pay

Any recommendations for a local vet (dog)? Thank you for the help.

All Paws is a great clinic and we've used them for some of the rescue dogs. They've been responsive during emergencies and very kind. Dr Marie Koppy at Lyndale Animal Hospital in Uptown is my daughter-in-law and we use her as our regular vet.

Any dog owners have recommendations for a reasonably priced vet? It's heartworm season and the mosquitoes have been pretty bad this year.

I have heard a lot of good things about Saint Paul Pet Hospital.. I hear they are very cheap compared to other vets, I had a bad experience when I took my dog to Southview, they ignored us for a long time and I just canceled and walked out.
I know its been discussed before...can we do it again!?
-- what vets do you use? I have been going to mendakota for 10years. Now 3 kids and a mortgage later they are...
Lisa W. replied:
I believe my vet is higher than that for office visit, so no help from me. Sorry! If you don't mind traveling across town, you could check Mission Animal Hospital
Corinne K. replied:
Office call at Southview Animal Hospital is $66.

I love Blackberry Veterinary Center on Cahill in IGH (by Subway). Dr. Rahimi is amazing and the clinic is small so they seem to be able to keep costs down.

I suggest Misson Animal Hospital in Hopkins. Its right next door to the rescue I volunteer for. from what I have heard they have very good rates!! I would whole heartedly suggest them. http://www.missionah.com/
LA C. replied:
Well then a cleaning does sound like it is in order. I tend to agree a lot of vets are all about the almighty $$$ and not what is best for the animal. I do A LOT of my own vet work. I also know there are clinics both human and critter that cross over...See More
William H. replied:
Yo Jon Simonson make sure you update us.
LA C. replied:
Jon Simonson Pedigree has some pretty amazing teeth cleaning products.:)
LA C. replied:
Hence I said Pedigree Dental Products. Greenies CAN, not always, and maybe not, but CAN cause both constipation and or the runs. Could be fine for your dog... Just watch and see.
