Had good luck with yosemitebum. They're the resole shop for Evolv, but can do any shoes, but only use Evolv's rubber. They list their shop time on the front page of their web site, currently 10 business days plus mail time. http://www.yosemitebum.com

Anyone have recommendations on great places to get fit for running shoes?
Lou C. replied:
If you're on the SW side of town, Texas Running Company
Robert V. replied:
Luke's Locker, ask for Maximo Mendoza Sr., Luis Armenteros, or Laura Connolly Bennett.
Andy S. replied:
Finish Line Sports in Sugar Creek. 31 years in business.
Doug S. replied:
Finish Line or go see my son Jake Storey at Fleet Feet Woodway.
Amy C. replied:
South side shops at Wild Pear Running in Pearland.
David A. replied:
The only place Brandon Adame gets his shoes is from Andy Stewart at Finish Line Sports in Sugar Land
Nancy A. replied:
Texas Running Company in Sugarland. Best place I've been to in the Houston area.
Dustin J. replied:
See Andy Stewart or any of his crew at Finish Line Sports in Sugar Land. FBF sponsor, race organizer, personable and serious about running.
Nancy M. replied:
Finish Line Sports in the Sugar Creek shopping Center (not the mall) If you like Asics they will help you find your shoe.
Becky N. replied:
Finish Line Sports. No one in the area knows or cares more about runners.
Christopher W. replied:
Luke's Locker in The Woodlands has always been good or Fleet Feet in Shenandoah, just ask for Austin. ;-)
Joseph C. replied:
All of our specialty local running stores do a good job and typically have experienced runners to help with fit. A list of these specialty running stores that offer typically a 10% discount to dues paying club members are at https://harra.org/discount-program.
Jorge M. replied:
If you are near or in the Pearland area Wild Pear Running is highly recommended for your running speciality shoe store. Super David (owner) has over 30 yrs of running shoe experience.
Shelly H. replied:
Wild Pear Running in Pearland is my go to because David Rosenthal knows his stuff! He is very experienced and is very helpful!
Jessica H. replied:
Fleet Feet
Missy G. replied:
I've had good experiences at both Luke's Locker and Fleet Feet (Woodway). We are a family of runners and wait for Maximo at Luke's Locker usually, even when it's busy as he seems to know his stuff. That being said, Luke's depends on the day. Some days I walk in there and nobody will give me the time of day because all the sales people are wrapped up in talking to each other about running (typically when it's NOT busy). I've never had that experience at Fleet feet, no matter how busy they are, someone always greets me and lets me know they'll be with me shortly.
Hi all! I'm new to Houston and need to buy new running shoes. Where's the best place to do that in Houston?
David D. replied:
Go to a real running shoes store to be properly fitted. Luke's and Fleet Feet are both great places to be fitted by staff who are runners. You might save a couple of bucks at a big chain store like Academy, but will those be the right shoes for your feet? Also, join a local running group for new friends and proper training to fit your abilities and goals. USA Fit has groups in various areas around Houston. Kenyan Way and USA Fit - Houston are both in the inner loop between Memorial Park and downtown, as are several other groups. There are also trail and ultra running groups around town. Your local running shoe stores can provide info about running groups in your area. Lots of running to do around Houston and lots of races from 5K to marathons and beyond. Welcome to Houston.
Sudhir K. replied:
I am not sure if it's right but I started buying my shoes from runningwarehouse.com always better priced and you get discount for running club

Dustin J. replied:
Finish Line Sports in Sugar Creek center in Sugar Land. Andy Stewart and his crew are the best.

Check out the Village Shoe Shop on Rice in the Village! They do an absolutely incredible job. And it's a very nice small, family-owned business. You will not regret it. Very reasonably priced. They've given my shoes an extra couple years of life.
