I'm not aware of any tv repair shops at all. Does anyone still do this?

There's a decent chance you might be able to fix it yourself. Look up your model number and 'repair' in the googles and see what comes up. I fixed an old Dell plasma TV this way a couple of years ago. Be careful with power stuff though.

Condor TV Repair: They were by far the cheapest place I called. They took my T.V. right away, were quick about it and I have no complaints, a month later. 846 N York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126 (630) 279-7666

When did you purchase it? Most credit cards extend the warranty by 1-2 years beyond manufacturer. I had a Panasonic plasma get burn in and I claimed it under Visa. Totally awesome program.

I had a plasma die because of a power issue, it was more to fix it than to buy a new LCD the same size. I upgaded the size while I was buying. These aren't made to be repaired.
