If it's a feral cat, bring it to the shelter (OC Animal Care) and ask for it to be TNR'd. They will fix it, microchip it, and get it up to date on shots. Then it'll be released. If it's someone's pet, open the cage door and let it go! Friendly cats should not be trapped.

Camp Stevens in Julian (near San Diego Wild Animal Park). Best summer camp program ever. It's through the Episcopal church but any religion is welcome. Both my kids started going at age 8 and have gone every year. They have a pool, archery range, a giant tree house. They have a huge garden and farm nearby and the kids help and have chores. They go on hikes and overnights. Play fun games do crafts and meet new people. They serve healthy meals often using things from their garden.
