Hello! I am looking for group boot camps/strength training in town. I prefer free weights and old school strength training, not cross fit type because of past injuries....
Leanne R. replied:
Fitness Together in Dana Point. They have “pack” classes and use a lot of free weights and old school fitness exercises.

Get a Peloton! You will not regret it! It's not just a spin bike! Over 5000 on demand classes and live rides too. Plus Beyond the ride classes-strength, yoga, stretching, foam rolling, other cardio, etc. Best investment I ever made and I don't have to fight parking and signing up for classes. OnePeloton.com

Crunch San Clemente has not only Group Fitness classes but small group training (boot camp Style) with trainers on our indoor turf area. So u get use of a fully equipped gym, classes (TRX, spin, chisel, kickboxing, cardio), guest privileges (you can bring a guest for free every time) and small group boot camp style training with trainers on our indoor turf area!!!!!!! And it's half the price of the other boot camp gyms!!!!!!!

Copa OC is great! My kids are just finishing up their two weeks there. Performance this afternoon to showcase their talents!

Here's a good at- a- glance list of SC summer camps. I recommend Active Adventures Day Camp - great program. Starts at age 6 and it's waitlisted for rest of this summer so not ideal for your immediate need, but would be good for next year. Maybe check out Playschool Summer Camp for 3-5 yr olds. http://san-clemente.org/recreation-community/recreation/youth-programs/camps

We used to go to Paws but found that https://www.facebook.com/149686945049131 The Zuri Pet Spa & Resort was far better! We take our weim there for daycare and when we go on vacation. Beautiful facilities
Marissa N. replied:
I have a friend who worked at CBW, and said the staff to dog ratio is horrible, and there was only about 1 person per 25+ dogs in the play yard, so if he has social issues, I would recommend elsewhere. We used rover.com and found the most amazing in home sitter, she's no longer sitting or I'd recommend her, but there are plenty of others, and it alleviates a lot of the stress of worrying.
Annie E. replied:
Nothing beats the outdoors! Camp Bow Wow is the ONLY doggy day care/boarding facility with indoor and outdoor yards and live camper cameras (from San clemente to mission viejo)

Ohhh.... Gurl, I feel ya! A 1 month old and a heeler puppy??? You're ambitious! I have so many questions, as a proud parent of a heeler/ border collie mix, you have your work cut out for you! Do you have a yard? Is she potty trained? How does she interact with your older male? I personally don't think the amount of aggression she's displaying is normal, but I'm not an expert- my girl is all love and heart, and has always been like that- was she a rescue? I'm a helicopter mom and able to devote all my time to her training and she tried me for sure- where do you live? I'd be happy to arrange play dates- sometimes pups need to brought up by their own- also invest in good training- with aggression issues I recommend Ryan Furlet- best of luck and pm me if you want to meet!

Stimulation and boundaries are your best bet. Sniffing things can be just as much stimulation as physical stimulation, it's like a filing job for dogs. I would definitely reccomened Ryan Furlet as well and would take advantage of his website when you find the chance. I have a red heeler who is beyond stubborn but he is the best doggo
Linda K. replied:
I have a 10 year old heeler that still needs a lot of exercise. When she was young I took her to action k9 sports. It was fun for both of us. http://actionk9 sports.com/

I absolutely loved the school, the teachers and the facilities etc. It was a while ago so I really don't know what their rates are now, you'd have to look into that. But just thought I'd give a shout-out that it's a great preschool!

My LO is about to start Early headstart program at the Evelyne lobo villegas head start in San Juan . part time they have 8-11:30 or 12:30-4:00 You can reach them through orange county headstart . This is their website www.ochsinc.org Also its a school for low income families so I believe they won't charge as much as a regular day care.
