Judith F. replied:
Dr. Keith Parendo of St. Francis Animal Hospital. Dr. Parendo and his wife are village residents along with their three children. They were both extremely kind and helpful when a fire destroyed their neighbors' residence on Mason Avenue. Dr. Parendo was on the scene of the fire and helped to save one dog in the house and presented a valiant effort to save a second dog trapped in the fire. His wife setup a virtual donation site for contributions for the neighbors to re-build. We have used Dr. Parendo's services for years and highly recommend him as a skilled, compassionate and dedicated vet.

You need someone like [Dr. Doreen Acuff](https://www.angieslist.com/companylist/us/ny/saint-james/doreen-m-acuff-dvm-reviews-242213.htm), who was my parents' pets' vet for a long time. She drove around LI, doing home visits instead of having to take the dogs to an office. I haven't lived on the Island in a decade, so I don't know if she's still working, sorry.

We live near MacArthur airport and there are a couple housecall vets around Long Island. They aren’t cheap. I cant remember the name but look up mobile vet on google maps. There’s a few around.
Division___Bell replied:
Not sure but take him to catnips and carrots in new Hyde Park, they're amazing and will know how to handle him.

Do you have a regular vet that you go to? Have you asked if they would be willing to do a house call?
