Katy B. replied:
The two recommendations I have might be outside those insurance parameters, but here goes, you can contact these two and ask about insurance, we have used both with great success for some of the same issues, particularly Nancy for exercises for our family member with scoliosis, Dr. Patty we see regularly: http://nancyharden.com/?page_id=71 and Dr. Patty Long, Long Chiropractic256-828-2236
Sue C. replied:
Also recommend Nancy Harden for Feldenkrais classes. They have kept me more flexible, and in less pain as I grow older. Well worth the time and $$. Nancyharden.com
John F. replied:
I used to go to Huntsville Pool Therapy. Really liked it.

Martha J. replied:
I was not happy with Johnson and Hayes-Madison, at first they were great, then not sure what happened. It seemed it got where they really did not care about my therapy. The guy that was working with me, just up and went back to H'ville and left me in the hands of someone that had just come back and she spent whole time talking to someone else instead of paying attention to me. I left and went to TOC. I had to have a lot of PT. Excellent people at TOC-Madison, I believe my guy was Mike, he was wonderful, but they were all good. Also used a place on County Line when my back was bothering me. Dr. Huessen I believe, he and his staff are wonderful--think it was called Spine Care..
Mary S. replied:
No experience with backs specifically, or posture. Excellent outcome with Nesin Therapy for post knee replacement therapy -- I would be happy to ask my friend there whether your issues are something they could address.
Jackie H. replied:
Nesin Physical Therapy helped greatly with long standing back problem.
Pam H. replied:
Chad Hobbs - Results Physiotherapy. Nesin has some great physical therapists too. Nancy Harden is wonderful too. We are lucky in Huntsville to have so many great physical therapists!
11 weeks later, and I still can not get this IT Band under control. Have used general PT for over 8 weeks,1 steroid pack, 2 weeks on anti inflammatory meds, and...
Erica H. replied:
I would think Dr Porter would be a good one for that.
Beth E. replied:
Nesin Therapy. You will need to see a good sports med Dr first- at least if you are in Alabama
Jessica C. replied:
John Morelock ...non of my current xrays show arthritis, but I know I have a family history of it....so, maybe need to look into that a little further. I am 38, so I don't like to consider myself old, but I am not a young spring chicken anymore either: -). I have only been running for 5 years, but was a dancer for 10 years in my youth, so my body has been pounded on a lot. The pain I am experiencing currently is a stabbing pain (to the outside of the knee) to intense to walk through much less run through....I would welcome a dull ache at this point!! LOL! Again, thanks for all your advice, you are giving me lots to think about. I don't want to give up yet, but am slowly feeling the "defeat" beginning to creep in.....
Connor K. replied:
Jessica Urban Chitwood , it stinks you have had to do so much work without relief. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with an eclectic experience. I use the most current research as well as reevaluate 'ancient' techniques for modern use. I like to approa ch issues holistically. Challenges are exciting to figure out but I won't make false promises things will be fixed. To start off I have three questions. 1 do you do much sitting or driving? 2 are you able to do single leg squats as fast as you can equally on both legs without losing control? 3 when standing do you tend to rest with your weight mainly on the painful leg/hip? If you are sick of PT I completely understand. If you want to talk about it more send me a message (connor@piperandleaf.com)
Lucas L. replied:
Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) worked for my ITB issues. I'm a Physical Therapist and runner. Many traditional approaches didn't work and I didn't get complete pain relief until I tried TDN that was over 2 years ago. Send me a message if you have any questions lawrimoredpt@gmail.com
Michele J. replied:
