Any recommendations for a good nail tech/nail salon? New to the area and have been searching for a good nail tech with little success. Would appreciate suggestions.

I had a horrific experience at Beyond Nail Spa, so tread with caution on that front. I haven't found any nail salons that I've been genuinely impressed with (as it turns out, I was very spoiled by new buffers and basin covers in my home state) but I did like the way Charisma salon did my pedicure.

I just had my first pedicure at Terrame Day Spa in Jones valley a few weeks ago and it was great, but maybe pricier than you want. I usually go to Kim’s nail salon on Hughes and am usually happy with the results!

Not exactly Huntsville but Serenity Nails in Hampton Cove / Owens Cross Roads is nice. There is only one girl there (Mary) who is absolutely terrible. She cuts me every time and has a bad attitude. Victor and Jordan are great though. Legacy Nails in Jones Valley is also good if you ask for the owner, Aileen (I think that's how she spells it).

Recommend Hair and Nails by Southern Belles on South Pkwy, super clean, very friendly, family owned and operated. You get your own buffer and file. Reasonably priced also!

I would imagine that whatever isnt profitable eventually will go to a landfill, either locally or out of town. I talked to someone at rana (i think they are the people doing the residental recycling) and they said contamination is a big issue so when it gets sorted, alot gets rejected (to the trash), and they pack up the clean items and ship out of town. So i would imagine by the time your pristine paper gets mixed with the household "recyclables" from down the street or the dripping soda bottles, its soggy and ruined. I believe this is the company my employer uses. They shred everything and recycle it [https://www.huntsvilleshredservice.com/](https://www.huntsvilleshredservice.com/)

Willis Nails in the old Kroger center .. if they aren't busy they usually double team me .. one working on the paws and another working on the claws ! I love that I can get a mani/pedi in about an hour. I don't have time for HOURS at a nail salon !

Do any of you have a favorite manicure place in the Research Park or Madison area?
Alura Y. replied:
Yes! Spring Nail and Spa off of Slaughter. They no speak good English, but they're incredibly nice and extremely thorough. They also massage your shoulders when you're getting a manicure and are always running great deals. Oh! And the designs on the nails are free!
