A friend of mine just got an awesome JRRTolkein piece done at Time Piece Tattoo, and /u/spittingwisdom is an artist there occasionally seen around this sub.

I second /u/spittingwisdom at Timepiece tattoo. She's done three on me and one on my girlfriend. She does amazing work and I can't recommend her enough.

Blue Rose. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Huntsville.

Definitely check out Timepiece Tattoo. Both Leah and Seejay are great artists. It was featured in Smarter Everyday. That's Leah in the video. https://youtu.be/kxLoycj4 pJY

Definitely Timepiece Tattoo. Seejay had done my last 3 tattoos and they are great. He's also a pretty cool dude who won't bullshit you.

I used The Pulse on 72 (past Madison, toward Athens). Very good rates and friendly staff. I was most impressed that they still treated me very well and had excellent service even though I knew nothing about tattoos at the time (it was my first one).

My wife and I got tattoos at Rocket City Tattoo. We're not big tattoo people and felt comfortable getting work done there.

Looking for a local tattoo artist I want a realistic wolf tattooed on my upper thigh, if that helps with recommendations. Nothing cheesy or over the top, preferably...

Craig Scott at the Pulse is a fantastic artist. He does fair pricing and great work. I know quite a few people, including myself, that had work done by him. Chad Pope, also at the Pulse, is also pretty good.

Leah (/u/spittingwisdom) at Arcadia Tattoo located in campus 805 does all my tattoo work. She's very talented.
lonelyinbama replied:
Second doe Leah, she's the best in town.

A few people have mentioned me and I would be happy to talk to you about your tattoo. I would highly recommend looking at portfolios of the tattooers you are considering as well. Realism is definitely a niche and the person you select should have good examples of it in their portfolio. Black and gray realism versus color realism will also make a difference in terms of the best choice of artist. I'm happy to answer any questions you have.

Shykeim at Art-I-Facts tattoo is a really cool dude and does great work. Be sure to pick up some Griffin Salve if you go, he will probably use it on you during the tattoo process too. Some of the best aftercare on the market IMO. [Art-I-Facts Tattoo](https://www.artifactstattoogallery.com/shykeim?lightbox=image_19 ya)

He's in Florence, but Ulysses Blair of Allegory arts would also be good to look into! If you use Instagram, his username is ulyss_blair
Does any of my friends that live or used to live in the Huntsville area know the best tattoo artist for cover up tattoos?? I've got one that I just regret ever getting...
I need recommendations for a good tattoo artist in the area that has reasonable prices. Got something special I need done and I don't want to go to just anybody.
