It would be super cool if you guys booked Kings Amongst Men. I saw them live at Front Row Live's Summer Beatdown on Saturday and they were extraordinary. Their stage presence and energy is absolutely ridiculously amazing, and each young man in the band is overwhelmingly talented. They work well together and have an entire album/EP of songs together (I think there's around 8-10?) and recorded in a studio. You should really consider booking them as Id love to see them live once more and I can think of a bunch more people that would love to as well. Although they are from Kokomo, Indiana, I feel as though you should consider them. I will be more than willing to tag your page in a few videos of their preformance at "Summer Beatdown." Thank you in advance!

There's a CD of theirs which has both "Colt 45" and "Why Be Proud", plus more songs. It's available on Amazon. It isn't cheap, but if you're interested, here's where it can be found: http://preview.tinyurl.com/m83 yvkn

The band you are remembering was "The Boys Next Door" from North Central High School. Lead singer was Steve Lester and drummer Jim Koss, who may still live in the Indy Area. I ran into him many years ago and borrowed all the band's 45's. I wish those tapes were still playable. We loved their concerts at Bush Stadium, The Flame Club, etc. Does anyone remember the band from Warren Central circa 1968, Jane Pauley's senior year? What was their name and what was their regional hit record?

Pretty sure it was a North Central HS band called the Four Wheels, later The Boys Next Door, with Steve Lester, Skeet Bushor, Steve Drybread, Jim Koss, and one other fellow (I can't recall his name at the moment, sorry!). Great band! Skeet is one of the finest musical arrangers and composers I've ever met.
Looking for information regarding the Indianapolis trip. Where is it on the band website? Can't find it.....

This is all that's available at the moment. Mr. McNulty will have more information as soon as we get more. Music For All hasn't updated everything yet on their site for 2015 Grand Nationals, but this link should give you a good idea on travel, housing in the area, cost, locations and daily schedules for this 3-4 day event. http://www.musicforall.org/what-we-do/boa-marching-championships/grand-national-championships/gn-spectator-guide
