Legal aid is basically the epitome of rude and discompassion...not sure what purpose they actually serve. I haven't had luck in this area but sending warm and empathetic thoughts your way. Also following because I have a friend who is in a similar situation and needs a lawyer. I have had Sue Kirk from CR recommended by a lawyer friend of mine, and she gave me some advice but at the time I did not need to retain anyone, and later went with someone local to me.
