Had excellent results with James Casteel of [Buyer's First Choice Home Inspections, Inc](http://www.bfchi.com); clunky name, but the guy was extremely thorough, lots of pictures and explanations, wasn't afraid to traverse the attic or nitpick about siding. Obviously he tested every single fixture and device in the house at the time of sale, and I feel like I really knew what I was getting into with the house (and got the seller to repair a lot of it before completing the sale). He even tore open the AC unit. So much stuff I can't even remember.

Jim Clark of Certified Home Inspection Services did ours this past August. He came highly recommended and has been in business locally for years. He's got all of the necessary insurance to go climbing on the roof, in the attic, etc. He took a ton of pictures, sent us an excellent, detailed PDF report of the inspection, and was extremely thorough. Having lived in the house for 6 months now, I can definitely say he didn't miss a single thing. We paid $355 for our inspection, but our house was 1,800 sq. ft. I would definitely recommend him. We were 100% satisfied.
