I need a math tutor right away. Algebra 2. Any suggestions?
Lynn C. replied:
A few years ago we used Bob Shellenberger. A nice older gentleman who lives in AB and comes to your house. He tutored some algebra for us and was helpful. His cell is 904-476-7813 and home is 904-249-0816. Not sure if he still tutors, he did it limitedly but if you get him please tell him the Charest's say hello!

Rae Ann a few people have recommended Kahn Academy for online help. We are trying that tonight.
Dondra O. replied:
Natalie and Dan both have told me about Kahn. Natalie can help, but only on weekends, her schedule... Dan will be home during the holidays, and they both tutor. Call!
Paula P. replied:

Stef I have used the site http://www.wyzant.com/TutorSearch?kw=math&z=32246&d=20 for Abby when needed. It has ratings, which I like. good luck.
Ashley S. replied:
Kahn Academy might help. I've heard great things about it and it helps a lot. Not sure if it has 5 th grade math but it might
Celeste A. replied:
Try Khan Academy, Stef. It's backed by Bill Gates and the guy who started is amazing. It's meant to be the most basic breakdown of ANY topic. It used to be free. Please let me know if it is successful for you. Hugs.
www.wyzant.com worked out great for Meilani. You can read different profiles of tutors (Every tutor has gone through a background check) and see which one works best for your child. Tutoring can take place at Panara, Library - just about anywhere. you can see by zip code.
No Bullshittin, I need a math tutor asap. LOL, helpppppp

there's this other site called quizlet.com it's a site to go on to kinda test what you have learned just to see if you're understanding it. it'll give you solutions to the problems and show you how to do it as well
Jacksonville friends...looking for a math tutor for my second grade boy, preferably a male. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ellen L. replied:
My kids have been at Mathnaisum on Beach/Hodges by Smoothy King. They love it! The instructors are young male/female math geniuses. They have a fun attitude and I don't know what type of magic they preform there but my kids suddenly love math again!! beachblvd@mathnasium.com
John Fekete II, he's the only reason I passed college math.
Jerry L. replied:
A math professor from the downtown campus, Dr. Kitto, he was the best math teacher I've ever had.. And I've been in many math courses. I recommend him if you can go to that campus. Also, he showed us how calculators aren't necessary.. Therefore no students were permitted to use a calculator in his vector calculus course. So if you want to understand how math works then he is a great choice in my opinion. I could try to show you some algebra tricks you may not know that saves you time.
