Sarah H. replied:
Woodland animal hospital, they are the best, the vet there gives very thorough checkups and they remember you when you come back. Their service is wonderful!! Quail Valley is much cheaper but they really aren't for small animals, there great for livestock. I repeatedly asked about my dogs bad breath multiple visits and kept being told some dogs just have bad breath. I went to woodland and they were willing to do X-rays and ended up pulling 8 teeth ! I wish I had known sooner about woodland !!

We take our two pups to Westside vet. When we had to put our oldest girl, Roxie, down they were super comforting and very kind to my mom and I. A few days later they sent us this. Along with a letter giving their condolences to us. We've been with that vet for almost 6 years and we have never once had an issue.

I take my furchild to Dr. Beddoe at Southwest Animal Hospital (Dr. Stone also a fav... Well they all are☺️). The doctors are caring, attentive, don't brush off or act annoyed by my millions of questions or concerns, and are all around great people. I understand wanting affordable, but I also believe you get what you pay for. I've had bad experiences previously when looking for "a cheap vet"... Just my two cents! PS YOUR DOG IS SO CUTE

If you don't mind driving 30 miles, there is a place that does low cost spay/neuter and walk in vaccine clinics (no office visit fee). I didn't have to have proof of income, it didn't matter where I lived, and they were the cheapest I could find. This place doesn't replace a vet, for illness or injuries, but it saves on the surgery and vaccines. https://m.facebook.com/SpayNeuterProject/

QUESTION. Anyone know of any animal hospitals that accept payment plans? My dog might require surgery. I applied for a medical credit card but won't hear if I'm approved...
Amanda H. replied:
I think Southwest Animal Hospital may have a plan that u can sign up for and submit for approval. Not sure though but I think I saw a brochure in their office.
Debra H. replied:
Dr Crago on the east end of jeff will work with you on a payment plan
Karen S. replied:
My german shepard Dillar had an ear hematoma...ballooned up good. Took her to West Side Vet and they drained it and stiched it up with putting a button on each side of the ear. Dillar didn'l like it and she had to wear the cone of shame for a few days. They didn't charge much for the procedure somewhere around $100. I've also used Greg Steck in Centertown in the past too- he's a good country vet and is way cheaper than any of the vets in JC.
Amy B. replied:
Greg Steck has fixed my cat for an ear hematoma and it was super cheap. Call him. He is awesome!
Christine W. replied:
I've always found that vet offices outside of city limits are much more affordable. I've used Osage Vet. Clinic in Meta and Osage Regional Vet. Clinic in Linn and they both provided excellent care at very affordable prices.
Lucas C. replied:
Dr. Greg steck,he is a little out of town but he is old school and will work with you, great vet
Ambra S. replied:
Dr. Esterly is the only vet I've found in town that allows u to make payments. You just give him post dated checks. My parents use SW animal hospital and I looked into using them and the best they could offer was care credit. Dr. Steck is cheap, but Idk about allowing payments. Sounds like if what u think is going on with your dog is the ear hematoma, it is fairly inexpensive according to others experiences. I never get that lucky lol. My animals always end up having something really expensive wrong with them that often requires anesthesia which bumps your bill up fast. Good luck to u and your puppy
Vanessa D. replied:
You could try calling Greg Steck in centertown. He's not in Jeff but he's like ten-fifteen minutes away. He's really affordable and I've heard of others doing payment plans. I love bringing my animals there! (573) 584-3368
