Tiffin is horrible for Indian food, if you want to go that route, Biriyani Bowl (Horsham or Chestnut Hill) is much better - for authentic Indian food. Makiman is great for sushi. So is Osaka in Chestnut Hill, Pho Ha Saigon (their pork Bahn Mi is awesome), SangKee (Hmart shopping center), wings from Cafe Soho, Jules Pizza... The dumpling spot in Glenside ( haven't tried but heard it's great). Good luck!

Fat Jacks!!! Maybe not the healthiest but make a salad with it and your company will absolutely love it. Amazing!!! Get the pork ribs, they fall off the bone.

What are your favorite lunch spots in Elkins Park? I frequent Cosi often - it's great and I'm glad to have it in our community - but I'm seeking non-chain restaurants...

Keswick tavern in Glenside open for lunch Friday and weekends. Glenside Pub open everyday for lunch. Village diner open for breakfast and lunch. Not all necessarily fall into the “healthy” category but are sit down waitress type restaurants in the area. They all have good food and good service.
Jennifer A. replied:
Chef Vargas in EP, Curds & Whey in Jenkintown.
Jill K. replied:
Not in Elkins Park but still close enough... Be Well Cafe on Huntingdon Pike. Very good food and most delicious baked goods!
Where are the hall suggestions? I would suggest getting our own room at a restaurant and just go individual meals and cash bar. Any other ideas? Any restaurant...
Beth P. replied:
Hi Everyone ... It's great to see your faces again! I spoke with the owner of La Fontana to ask about a dinner on a Fri. or Sat night with cash bar. We can choose from their "party menu" which is pricier, or individual meals. I also swung some free appetizers. As Jeff said, the room is free. If anyone wants to see their menu, go to www.Restaurant.com. If you need the zip code, it is 19040.
Jeff B. replied:
Julie, can you ask your sister-in-law about the VFW and Jim inquire about Chillis? I can delegate like the best of them. Julie, will the VFW cost us anything? I'm guessing Chilli's may give us a room because we are buying dinners and drinks. Just some thoughts. I was going to inquire at Cafe LaFontana in Hatboro. They have a room that can hold up to 80 people and the food is pretty good. Let me know what you guys think.
Bob P. replied:
Cafe LaFontana is a fantastic idea! Very nice place. Do you know someone there?
Julie L. replied:
Cafe La Fontana sounds much nicer than the VFW. Great idea!
Where is a good place to take the kids for lunch/brunch downtown? Just got the tickets to the nutcracker! Has anyone ever been to Max Brenner Restaurant on Walnut...
