The JSPCA shelter has plenty of dogs for adoptions. There is an adoption fee. To come to the shelter, call Chaya, the shelter manager, at 054-770-0221

Hi Chava--we foster for Jerusalem Loves Animals, a nonprofit that rescues dogs from the pound. They come in all ages, sizes, and are almost always mutts. Sometimes you get a purebred Husky or other dog that the owners can no longer keep. Rehoming Your Pets, suggested above, is also good. People who cannot keep their dogs/cats place their photos there in the hopes someone will adopt them. This is our current foster, Corky -- but he is only one of dozens of dogs in foster care right now. Corky is 10 months old, neutered, vaccinated, okay-but-not-perfect on a leash (he's still a puppy), and housebroken. Another place is the Jerusalem SPCA shelter.
