This will be my first year of Run Camp but I don't really have any winter run gear yet. Any suggestions on what to wear and where to get cheap gear? A lot of stuff is...

You are speaking my language right now...shopping! And, yes, it can get expensive. Everyone here has already given great advice. Don't skimp on the bra, socks or shoes. As for what to wear for running itself, you will want to layer for the cold days. That way, you can shed one if you get too warm (tie around your waist), but you are covered if it gets cold. You want to make sure what you wear against your skin is moisture wicking otherwise no matter how many layers you have on, you will freeze. An affordable base layer is cuddle dud long underwear, both top and bottoms. That way, you don't have to spend the $$ on expensive winter weight run tights/tops. JC Penney, Target, TJ Maxx (accept here you have to really search at TJ's) and Old Navy all carry great clothing options and you can usually find them on the cheap. Especially if you shop online. Sierra Trading post is a great place to get Smartwool socks on the cheap.

Good place to look is also TJ Maxx or Marshalls In the activewear. I will also add you need a hat (wicking one likely). I just got an under armour one at TJs for $12

Check out TJ Maxx or Marshalls for active wear. I purchased a pair of Columbia Omni-heat running pants there 4 years ago. I have worn them for almost every winter run and no holes or thin spots yet! Just a few basics will get you through. Dry wick is important because, believe it or not, you work up quite a sweat despite the cold!. Think layers as you will likely shed some as you get warmed up. Wool socks and great, support shoes. Gloves and ear warmers.
